Transforming Prison Ministry:
Living Stones teaches inmates the need to have boundaries, the impact of what living without a dad did for them, and how restoration can take place in their own lives. According to the Florida Department of Corrections, one-third of men leaving prison will return due to parole violations or committing another crime within three years.

In the United States. . .
On any given day in America, more than 1.5 million children have a parent incarcerated in a state or federal prison. Moreover, more than 10 million children are living with a parent who has come under some form of criminal justice supervision at some point in the child’s life.
Within three years, one-third of ex-offenders who serve their sentences will be rearrested and two out of five will be re-incarcerated. There is minimal intervention from our community, churches, or non-profit organizations to keep these ex-offenders out of prison.
According to the Florida Department of Correction, there is 65,000 men returning to prisons on various violations of parole or committing another crime due to unemployment. The statistics demonstrate that an employed ex-offender is three times less likely to commit a crime.

Living Stones is on the front line ministering and counseling inmates and ex-offenders. Our goal is to reduce recidivism and help inmates maintain a victorious Christian lifestyle while in prison and when released. Our objective is to rebuild families ties (during incarceration and after reentry into the community), and promote stable families and neighborhoods. We utilized the curriculae "Inside/Outside Dad" and "Boundaries".
