Big Bend Fatherhood Initiative:
One goal of Living Stones is to help dads in prison and in the community restore and maintain relationships with their children and families.
Research reveals that fathers are important in their children's lives. 91% of those surveyed by the National Fatherhood Initiative (NFI) agree that there is a Father absence crisis in the United States. 65% agree Fathers are portrayed in a negative light through the media. 99% agree Fathers are an important part of who you are.
Teen dads are also a population needing our assistance. This population needs mentors and positive role models to aid them in becoming great dads and how to take care of their child. Working in small groups and providing parenting education are some of the ways to achieve success with teen dads. Learning real "Life Skills", preparing for employment, and staying in school as well as using theoretical approaches are other successful vehicles.

Living Stones is active and on the front-line mentoring fathers on the importance of being active in the lives of their children. Our ministry has counseled and mentored over 1,500 men.
